About the trust

The Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust

"I am determined I shall do no other charity till I build a hospital for women and children in Coimbatore" - Sri. G. Kuppuswamy Naidu

A committee was formed to fulfil his wishes and Sri. G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Trust was established

The trust was composed of his brother Sri. G. Venkataswamy Naidu, his maternal uncle Sri. R. Bhima Naidu, his friend Sri. P. S. Pallikonda Ayyar and Sri. S. M. Kuppuswami Chettiar, his sons, Sri. G. K. Devarajulu, Sri. G. K. Sundaram, Sri. G. K. Govindaswamy and Sri. G. K. Rajagopal. On 29th October 1948, bringing life to the founder's dream, "The Sri. G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust" for education and medical relief was registered.

Objectives of
the Trust

To build, run, maintain, carry on High Schools, Colleges, Hostels, Research institutions and other Educational Institutions, award scholarships, encourage, finance and subsidise Industrial Research, Research in science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and other allied subjects, open, maintain, improve and enlarge hospitals, welfare institutions, dispensaries in several towns and villages, provide facilities for the imparting of medical education and for higher studies in medicine and generally do all such other things conducive to the attainment of the General object of the Trust namely education and medical relief to the public.
