A Legacy of GKNM Hospital

GKNM Hospital, a beacon of healthcare excellence, traces its roots to the visionary G. Kuppuswamy Naidu’s dream of accessible medical relief. For 73 years, it has stood as a testament to compassion, integrity, and innovation. As a unit of the Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education and Medical Relief, our collective mission embodies ‘We Care. And it shows’. With a legacy of trust and an unwavering commitment to patient-centric care, GKNM Hospital continues to redefine standards in healthcare with humility and dedication.”

G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital is the oldest private hospital in Coimbatore founded in the year 1952, a healthcare clinic as maternity and child care centre, later GKNMH also was a pioneer in setting up a separate cancer centre offering total therapy for cancer patients and now is a state of art multi-disciplinary, super-specialty tertiary care centre for quality health care and is a much-preferred healthcare destination.

GKNMH has performed over 1,35,000 Cardiac Cathlab procedures and 40,000 cardiac surgeries. As Tamil Nadu’s first women and children’s hospital, we've facilitated over 1.5 lakh childbirths. We were the first in the state to do a heart transplant under CMCHIS and the first to open a Cancer Centre with research facilities after Adayar, benefiting over 2 lakh patients. Our LEED v4.1 Platinum certification reflects our commitment to sustainability. Now, with India’s largest integrated outpatient care centre, we offer cutting-edge, patient- focused services—strengthening our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, and innovative healthcare for the community.
